Bid Quotation Expert (B2B/Government Experience)
We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Quotation Expert with extensive experience in B2B to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) products and services, coupled with a strong understanding of bid and quotation processes within the public sector. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for crafting competitive bid proposals, managing quotation processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Bid Proposal Development:
– Collaborate with sales, product, and service teams to understand customer requirements and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
– Craft persuasive and accurate bid documents tailored to specific client needs and government regulations.
– Ensure all bid submissions are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
Quotation Management:
– Analyze incoming requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) to determine feasibility and resource requirements.
– Prepare detailed and accurate quotations in a timely manner, considering factors such as pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
– Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for quotation preparation.
Government Procurement Expertise:
– Demonstrate a deep understanding of government procurement processes, including GSA schedules, cooperative purchasing agreements, and bid evaluation criteria.
– Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting government procurement, ensuring compliance in all bid submissions.
B2B Sales Support:
– Support the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the B2B sector.
– Provide expertise and guidance on pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and customer relationship management.
Relationship Management:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, procurement officers, and key stakeholders to enhance our competitive position in the market.
– Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns regarding bid submissions and quotations.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
– Proven experience in MRO bid and proposal management, preferably in the B2B and government sectors.
– Strong understanding of MRO products and services, including familiarity with industry standards and suppliers.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
– Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
– Proficiency in MS Office Suite and bid management software.
– Familiarity with government procurement portals and databases (e.g., FedBizOpps, SAM.gov).
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
We need someone in love with BizDev – a dynamic person with great communication skills, ability to think “out of the box”, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Mechanical Engineering background, Distribution, Facilities Maintenance, MRO, B2B, wholesale distribution understanding/experience, and start-up experience are a plus.
Client-centric mentality is mandatory.
